Something off?
Report an issueVisualMap is a simple easy to use tool for iPhone 3GS only . Hint: Try turning 3G off - and should get a much better fix
What does it do? The application shows you the view through the camera alongside a correctly oriented map...as you rotate around the map view changes - so it is easy to see where you are in the world and what is around you.
You can zoom and pan the map as you would with a normal map.
VisualMap makes use of the iPhone 3GS compass feature and requires a 3GS iPhone to work. The accuracy of the GPS location will depend upon the GPS signals being received.

8 of 22Bloody app doesn't even include a google map or any options. Useless for international users. I can't understand why in Apple doesn't require internationalisation of apps in today's global Market. If apps are not globalised, it MUST be a prerequisite to state it in the description. Unfair business practice.
It crashed as soon as i opened it!! Waste of my time. DONT BUY THIS APP!!!!!
Works! Good for visual people, would like to be able to take a pic and have it log it.
Nice idea, but not entirely accurate. And accuracy will be important for those occasions when this app is needed. Two accuracy problems: 1. Doesn't always find my location properly - several times located me ~ 1/2 to 1 mile away, perhaps where the cell tower is (I have a 3GS phone with GPS). I don't have this problem with the built in maps app, and in fact if I first launch maps and then launch visualmap, it gets the location right. BUt this is too cumbersome 2. The compass direction is off by ~ -30 degrees. When I look straight down a street, the map shows the street going off at an angle to the left from the vertical. ALSO, I'm very annoyed that the support site does not provide a good opportunity for feedback - apparently it is available only to those with special kinds of accounts. (I was hoping to give the developer a chance to respond before posting this criticism here).
Its ok. Put a compass and it will be worth it
Also if you tap on blue current location dot the text is aligned to North. Not sure what are the complaints all about but looking at the date, it's not likely those used iOS4.
Does not zoom in and out. To The Developer: When using two finger pinch zoom in or out it pops right back to the original zoom and the same with one or two finger tap. The app needs to be fixed and the accuracy for the GPS could be improved.
Crashed as soon as i opened it
