Amazing

I love this app. This is a perfect app as you can study in the go with an extensive vocabulary list all for free! This really helps to read kanjis.

Proven memorization method

As a stand-alone method for studying, this is usually not the best way to learn, especially for beginners. However, this tool IS great for melding an already developed vocabulary with the respective kanji. After a few hours with these cards you will start recognizing the words around you on the street. Repeat sessions will pay off even more. Of course, you will need to buttress this learning with actually writing the kanji, especially the more commonly written ones. It's an iPhone App so it's less than beautiful on the iPad. When I DL'd it the price was free. So, 4 stars for the actual app, +1 for NOT adding ads that are unreasonably distracting (total 5). Good job, and thanks!

One flaw:

Flash clards are sorted alphabetically. I have to master all those starting with A's before going on to the B's, and so on. So there's little variation between a couple of subsequent words/phrases. It would be so much better if they were shuffled. However, there's little problem later on because previously learned vocabulary pop up as a review from time to time.
Otherwise, a brilliant app! A very effective way for studying vocabulary. Highly recommended!

Uh, so how do I review?

...
You can only view the words once.
Lets say you anccidently double tap, it doesn't let you go back in the quiz mode. So, you have to tap through all 5000 words to be able to redo it.

Also, in the browse mode, you can only browse through the words one by one, or 50 by 50. It doesn't let you jump to a word, or search for it, or even have a list view. I'm not going to waste my time going over 8000 words just to find one word so i can review it.

Please, fix this..

Good flashcards for studying, until they recently added distracting ads.

Great but needs search.

I really do love this app. Great to study on the go, but it needs a search feature. Otherwise you have to write the words down and look them up later.

Ads?

I paid for this app a long time ago, now they put ads in it. Greedy greedy greedy!
