AutoTones™ is an engine sound simulator for your car. Just choose your desired vehicle, place your iPhone or iPod Touch in your car securely, and press the "Start the Car!" button! It's that easy!
AutoTones™ will detect the movement of the vehicle you are in and playback realistic sounds to match acceleration, deceleration, turns, stops, and idles. The steering wheel will turn as the vehicle turns, and the speedometer will rotate as the vehicle accelerates and decelerates. Touch the screen and you'll honk the horn of the current vehicle!
Even if you don't have a car, you can use AutoTones™ in a taxi, on the train, on a bus, and even on a speed boat! You can also hold it in your hand and run around!
NOTE: For best results, plug your iPhone into your car stereo. Pressing the "Start the car!" button calibrates AutoTones™ to your device's current position. If your device is moved please make sure to re-calibrate AutoTones™ by pressing the red stop button and then press "Start the car!" again. Happy driving!

8 of 25As others have already stated, please tone down the breaking and turning screeching noise or have an option to turn it off. Otherwise this is a fun app to use in my camry!!
I just went from the free version to the full version 10 minutes ago, and I am so impressed. I love the toilet when the best!

I think that the app is pretty cool but what I liked about most was that it doesn't use gps. I never really tryed using this in the car but it was pretty cool just messing with it. The interface looks pretty cool. It isn't really a game or a tool but it is pretty cool to show off to friends. It just makes them jealous because they don't have an itouch.

Cool app, but could really use more cars. Maybe a big v8 muscle car, f1 car, 18 wheeler, etc.
This is one of those apps that perfectly satisfies the "I wish there were an app for that" thoughts that cross your mind when using your iPhone/Touch. I must have passed over this before because of the low average rating, but don't believe it! Either earlier versions of this app were really bad, or there are just too many people who don't understand what it does. Yeah, I'd like more vehicles (18-wheeler rig with air horn!) but the dev has promised that. And more tweaks! But the app works great as-is. Should be featured on the iPhone TV ads
