Missing some key features

by Battery111 · November 20, 2018

One thing I immediately noticed was the lack of a place to do input the desired subnet mask, so support for subnets larger than /24 is a little bit awkward. Also while setting a custom subnet to scan there doesn't seem to be a way to change anything other than the last octet of the "thru" address.. It would be less annoying except that it also fails to detect the current subnet correctly if it is larger, requiring one to scan a "custom" subnet for any of the sections with a different third octet. I may be missing sobering obviousso I will happily edit my review if I'm wrong. It seems like a basic feature for a network utility existing to discover more information about the current connected network. Because this isn't exactly a free app, I don't think this is an unreasonable expectation.

Best app

Thanks A Lot, Apple💩!

Because Apple foolishly made it so third-party apps like this, can no longer read MAC addresses. Well, it makes using this app really, really, really, friggin' really, really hard. I still am currently giving 4-stars because I know the developer had no control over this.

But, yeah, thanks so much APPLE! Everything now comes up "Unidentified", and that is just super handy, let me tell you. Out of like 20 listings all but 3 are Unidentified. My online printer shows, my iPad shows up, and HAHA of course my Apple Airport Extreme shows up.

So, because of Apple's wonderful decision to mangle apps like this, IP Network Scanner, now is rendered all but useless. I would really like to know why Apple did this?? If they aren't engineering planned obselescence, since iOS 10, with my iPhone 6 Plus' battery. In hopes of making me angry enough at the constant falling battery to upgrade to the newest iPhone. They are taking breaks from that and ruining apps like this.

Again, thank you very much, Apple... 🤬🤬🤬🤬

And, to the developer, I assume it's not possible to fix this and find a workaround. But, if you can, please release an update that allows us to use this app like we used to be able to. Thank you if you can fix it.

I agree with Joshua D.

This app is useful for checking the devices on your network and their current state. It is also a good tool for telling you what shouldn’t be connected to your network. You get info on each device, it’s connection state, Mac, ip and related info. Sure, it doesn’t do everything, but for the price it gets the job done that I need.

- until this app ceases to abort mid-process. Stars will decrease until I get my jingle $$.
