A big waste of money!!!!!

Just spent $75 on the product and it doesn't even work! Plus the app is really really bad. Definitely disappointed!

Phone calls do not work thru car speakers

by KJ Lambein · January 19, 2016

The Belkin TuneCast Auto Live Hands-Free (Lightning) works well playing music or Pandora. If I receive a call while in the car using my device I'm unable to have the phone call go thru my car speakers. iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 9.2) Support page on Belkin not available. Kinda defeats the purpose of 'Hands-Free.' If you cannot answer a call.

works well so far

I have an iPhone 4, live in the northeast (with a gazillion FM stations), and I have zero techno/IT capabilities. I downloaded the app via WiFi (while in my car), attached the iPhone to the mount, enabled the GPS location feature in my system preferences, and pressed play without any problems. My family and I drove for an hour (the day before this post), had to find a reliably unused FM station which required a few station changes which was a little annoying but overall it worked quite well (excuse the run-on sentence).

It stopped working!

I've had an iPhone 5 for a while. The transmitter would work perfectly. I installed iOS 7 and it kept working perfectly. Now the transmitter will charge my phone but it won't play my music as there's no radio dial on the screen. What happened?

Inefficient

by vanpattrt · July 28, 2013

I'm not sure why the fm transmitter they make now requires the use of the app now on iphone 4. I had transmitter of a similar model that got stolen where all you had to do to use was plug it in and press play and i could play from lock screen so I didn't even have to unlock my phone. Now I have to unlock my phone, open the app, then plug the transmitter in, then go to my music app and find the song or playlist I want to play. Just because there's a play button in the app and info on what song it is doesn't mean I'm ever going to use it. Ever. The only redeeming quality is the ability to find clear channels around it based on location. I would sooner not have the app though because of how cumbersome it is. If anything make the app an option to use with the transmitter not a requirement or at least make it so that I do t have to open the stupid app first before it recognizes that I want to use it. You guys have taken a step backwards in my opinion.

Edit:
I've been hearing that people with iPhone 4S and up have been able to plug and play. I really hope that you guys fix this soon. Getting really annoyed with this app on iPhone 4.

Junk

by syrkel2 · January 7, 2016

Complete junk. Don't waste your money. Save it and buy a cheap one that plugs into the headphone port. Keeps finding the same station over and over. When I manually choose one with absolutely nothing broadcasting on it there is still a ton of static coming through the speakers. $50 wasted and I can't return it because I already threw the box for it in the garbage. This will be going in the garbage too if I can't pass it off to some other sucker online. Hopefully they don't read this review!

It won't work with iPhone 7

Don't use this app!

by regular20something · September 30, 2013

Use your device without the app. The app causes crashes and says it doesn't recognize the device, but just don't download the app in the first place and your phone will play just fine. I almost forgot there was an app.
