8 of 25Pocket Cloud does not consistently allow remote connection to my PCs. It is nice when it works but is sometimes useless. Developers need to make it easier to set up connections. In some instances I get the error message that my login credentials are incorrect and no matter how I try, changing my user name and password both on the client computer and in Pocket Cloud I cannot connect and I simply have given up. Tech support seems non-existent.
STILL no backup / restore (or store in cloud) option for manual connections. SERIOUSLY?
Used to love this tool until I came across a few bugs that have yet to be fixed or addressed:<br/><br/>1. Wheel pointer resets after switching apps though graphically it still shows the previous wheel state prior to the app switch. Basically if you've expanded the wheel pointer to show keyboard and right-click options, when you switch apps and then switch back to Pocket Cloud, the wheel pointer will still show those options when in fact the pointer has reset back to non-expanded mode.<br/><br/>2. Biggest bug of all: while connected to Windows 7, Windows Explorer will crash in your session. This is a deal breaker.<br/><br/>Will be looking for another Remote Desktop app for my iPad.
PocketCloud is such a great app that I went ahead and purchased PocketCloud Pro, largely so that I could save multiple connections. However, PocketCloud Pro is buggy (double click doesn't work, among other issues) and does not receive any updates, despite the fact that PocketCloud has been regularly updated.<br/><br/>Do not buy this version. Stick with the free version, since it works great and is free.
I manage 48 servers remotely and needed an app with enough functionality to where I could stop lugging a laptop when I wasn't in the office. <br/><br/>This app has made my life so much easier! There are only a couple of things I would like added. <br/><br/>1. Ability to export/import my connections to iCloud, DropBox, or some other service not related to Google. <br/><br/>2. Ability to nest connections under different folders/more organization. <br/><br/>Overall, this is a great app and I highly recommend it. 5 stars!
Couldn't be happier with the way PocketCloud tunnels into various platforms. OS-X works easily, and Win 7 Pro access uses the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection facility built into Win 7 (and 8).<br/>I have remotely operated Acrobat 11 Pro weekly for a month now and this was the best $15 I've spent to support my business.
This app is a great buy. I am a network admin and can sign in from almost anywhere. Work great
Constant crashes over the last month. Please help! Was a great app but can not use it now.<br/>Still not working. Support is awful.
