i'm changing. slowly but certainly i am being driven insane by rich olson and his diabolical sidekick Manic Marbel 2 level 4. It's a conspiracy, i know it is. I can get ohhhh soooo close to the end, and then BOOM !! it sends me spinning and swerving and spinning and falling and i try, ohhhh i try soooooo hard to get it under control man........ but its no use......it wins again. and again. and again. my once mild easy going manner is being replaced by crazy paranoia and vile venomous rage. Ohhhhh i'll get you Manic Marble 2 level 4. i will beat you and when i do you'll be sorry. you will be very very sorry. Hahahaha--Bahahahaha................hahahahahahahahaha

Great game

The first is way easier then this one.
Still stuck on the third level! Crazy obstacles and jumps. Need some fast reflexis and some time to get a hang of the controls. If u liked the first, u will hate this marble hell!

This one stinks. First one was awesome.

If you love Manic Marble 1 (like I do) you will hate Manic Marble Marble 2 (as I do).
They changed the game engine, made it worse.

There appear to be two speeds. Flat out massive acceleration and dragging to
a stop. Don't bother trying to establish a nice cruising speed, as you could in the first version. At full speed, there is almost no turning ability. There is even less as you are decelerating.

However, when standing nearly still and you try to turn, it will turn slowly at first, and then suddenly spin around wildly. Out of control.

When you run into a wall or post, it spins you around. Good luck trying to get repointed into the correction direction.

If you fall off a platform and the game tries to resume, it will pick the most inconvenient location. Such as crawling forward at the top of a ramp then falling off. Or rolling at a right angle from the direction you want to go, toward the edge of a platform and unable to turn. Or even off the end of a ramp over empty space. Don't even bother trying to resume, when it starts this nonsense, I just start the level over.

None of these problems were in the first version. I don't recommend you pay
for this version. I'm not even going to try the third version.

How do I know the engine changed? Because in this version, it lets you roll
backwards.
.... Weeks later...
Still waiting for a fix. Still annoyingly un-controllable So I just replay the first one 'Manic Marble 1' over and over. Finding shortcuts, beating times, etc. It behaves properly.

serious fun

graphics are retro-cool - very tron-like / surreal - really smooth animation. control takes getting used to - but is pretty intuitive after a few minutes. touch control works well - but the game plays best with the accelerometer. game is more fun in "slow motion" mode if you use touch. the first level is pretty tame - but things get a -lot- more challenging from there on. lots of game play considering the cheap price.

So much fun!!

This game is so much fun. Even after I have beaten all the levels I wanna keep coming back to this game to play. It's nice that there are two extra levels from manic marble one. I can't wait for an update or even a third manic marble. I would willingly pay 3 for this game. Would definetly recamand you buy this game it's so much fun. It's a little diffucult at first to get the hang if but once you practice it gets much easier.

Fantastic upgrade from original version

Some really great new features and better control/driving in this new version. I really like the Slow mode to help me learn the course before I try and plow through it in Normal speed. Fast is SOOO fast I get sick! Very hard and unique levels too.
