Never get sick of playing with these sounds

Fun and useful little app full of neat retro sounds that are easy to arrange. Some of the stock songs are entertaining and amusing. Was gonna give it 4 stars because it lacks a few things that could bring it over the top...but, I feel compelled due to scoring this app for less than a buck!

this app is awesome and fun to use but it better if u have some musical experience. fun but the overall song thing would be a lot cooler if u could get 32 measures instead of just 16

Originally purchased this app when it was $5. Would have rated original a 4-star. Recent update added a "share bar" for email, FB and Twitter at the top of the kit screen. While this may sound like a good idea, it takes up valuable space on a mobile platform. The new update also deletes anything you may have made on prior versions. There has never been midi, or audiobus in this app. Exporting files to work with in your studio requires a $50 app on your iOS sync-computer. I enjoyed the app for years, but the lack of editable exports, lack of midi, lack of audiobus and the recent loss of all songs have pushed me to uninstall the app. My advice to the developers is to 1) make the 16 bar patterns chain-able to allow larger patterns, 2) enable midi i/o, 3) make the "share bar" a drop-down, or other easily hidden menu object, 4) enable audiobus, 5) warn users that data WILL be lost on future updates (I had some epic tunes)! If each "flavor" iDrum had midi or audiobus, I would have bought each one! Now I will steer clear of izotope products. Very disappointed.

One of the best iPod music apps! Very quick and fun. I do wish there was an easier way to transfer samples than to purchase iDrum desktop edition for $40. Also a Pro version with drum tuning/decay/fx/sample editing, etc... would be great! Also, like somone pointed out, changing patterns with one click would be nice.

There is really a lot of cool sounds here great job!

The interface is very intuitive, but not suited to live performance. If you want to chill in your room (or the bus or whatever) and play with beats, fine. Basically you can't select a pattern without going *in* to the pattern, so if you want to go back to the pattern view to play a different pattern, you have to hit another button. Kinda makes it annoying if you want to quickly switch patterns. Swiping back and forth between individual instruments in a pattern is a cool idea, but its too slow to be really useful.
