★★★★☆ Really Like
by snewks · Mar 11, 2015

I love this app. I can go in at any time and add to my scripts. The only problem in BMS tries to access my folder. It offers to tap Allow, but there's not one for Don't Allow. If this continues, I will delete the app.

★★★★☆ Great- but please ad notes
by Tomlyn-2 · Jan 30, 2012

I like it- I've been able to jump right in and create scenes, dialogue, characters, re-order the scenes. All works great. Not to bothered about the drop box issue, but wondering why if you can email out a script, why can't you import the same way?<br/>Anyway, a feature I really want to see is Notes, ( you know if you want to remind yourself about a little thing like structure?) The notes should be under the script name. <br/>And it would be awesome if they had that same functionality that your scene toggle does.( going in between having individual notes, or seeing them all together)<br/>Thanks!

★★☆☆☆ Updates?
by proudpom · Dec 28, 2012

Would be a good app if the developer would ever update it for:<br/>• iPad<br/>• retina display<br/>• iPhone 5 display<br/><br/>Until then, I wouldn't bother with this app. It's not been updated in nearly two years so support is clearly not a priority.

★☆☆☆☆ I Hate it.
by Theroxbaby1 · May 17, 2026

It is complicated and I have not been able to write anything on it. I hate that I paid a yearly subscription, believing I can learn from tutorials.

★★★☆☆ More exporting options of files
by Itech1982 · Jan 5, 2014

This app has a lot of potential but he needs more exporting options and more security on the things that is written

★☆☆☆☆ Concept
by Ded He'd · Feb 24, 2015

I like the overall concept of this app, my main issue with it is that it hasn't been updated since ios6, so it looks awful, has no ease of use like apps produced within the last year, and completely needs redone so that it doesn't look like I'm writing screenplays in 2012

★★★★☆ Retina
by gatsby express · Apr 16, 2012

Please make this universal and add retina support

★★★☆☆ Potential but give more options in settings?
by ShwannyDH · Jul 6, 2026

Always nice to see more screenwriting apps available for iPad that are at least striving to be as feature capable as the ones that have been available on Mac/Windows forever. The iPad is a perfect device for writing on the go and yet has for a decade plus been lacking truly great screenwriting apps. A few are getting close in 2026 and Screenplay could be one of those. But I am struggling hard with how the carriage works. Having to use cmd+ enter feels extremely unintuitive. Ditto seeing a line of dialogue initially placed too far below the character heading in the element “window”, only to pop back into the right place after you do the whole cmd+enter thing. If there’s any consideration to creating an option in the settings to turn all that off and just provide a standard cursor with typical tab and enter behavior, I would greatly welcome it! I appreciate the thought process of trying to do something new and different, and will allow that if you’re typing on the screen this approach may work well. But more options for us Magic Keyboard warriors would be an excellent addition.
