8 of 25I was an early adopter and have for years requested the ability to, 1) add or adjust sleep time(s), and 2) add naps, yet they won’t add these two common sense capabilities that other sleep apps have. Every time I think of joining I remember this. Also their updates regularly cause function problems that cause skipped nights. Has happened 3 times this week. I have another, old, sleep app that has no problems working right when other apps are in use, but Sleep Cycle has had problems not playing well with others off and on for years. I’m reluctant to pay for an app that doesn’t listen to customers long-standing requests for features other sleep apps have for free at the basic level.
I have used this app for almost fifteen years. At first it was amazing. Then features I found very beneficial started to disappear. For instance, I started to use it with a Bluetooth eye mask to have the alarm without disturbing my wife. Then, this feature was no longer supported. Most recently, syncing with the Apple Watch app, which I started to use to have a silent alarm that substituted for the Bluetooth mask, now is a *premium feature*. I’m ready to start looking for an alternative, especially if features I have used for years are either eliminated or put behind an additional subscription.
Great tools for helping me understand my sleep. My only beef is with notifications to sell me premium features that I don’t want. Turning off notifications has done the trick, though, without making my app experience any worse.
I’ve been using Sleep Cycle for a decade and have been so pleased by how helpful it is. But since they updated to tracking via microphone instead of accelerometer it’s definitely been obvious the accuracy has gone way down. I know when I’m awake for longer stints in the middle of the night and when tracking with the accelerometer that always reflected accurately, but the microphone tracking doesn’t.

I don’t understand why they’d recommend default microphone when it is objectively less accurate.

If you get this app, use the accelerometer and it’ll be great!
I have spent so much time attempting to cancel my subscription. I feel taken advantage of- it seems super manipulative on the part of Sleep Cycle. Zero Stars for difficulty cancelling subscription (it didn’t appear on my iOS subscription list) HORRIBLE.
I had a bigger review but i accidentally erased it. Wake up window is good. Not many free features tells you if you snored but listening is paid. For paid: I dont like how there is no easy way to see all your sounds without looking at each one per day. The charts are hard to extrapolate if you have data for longer than a year. It is also too expensive.
Good one here
