I wanted a straight no frills nutrition guide app. I don't need it to track calories, etc (that's just me of course). Interface-wise, this app looked perfect.

It appears the developers have fixed the speed issues some of the other reviewers mentioned. It doesn't immediately do a live search (it auto searches after you stop typing after about 2 full seconds). That's a positive I was worried about.

I did notice that a basic search for "pepsi" and "mountain dew" did not find any results, though pepsi-cola is on their supported companies list. Nit sure if it was a faulty search or the list isn't as complete as advertised yet.

I do agree that being able to better customize serving size would be nice. If i load up "pizza" you can measure by 100 grams, slice, or whole pie. However, other foods commonly only let you display by 100 grams. I can convert, but having that built in would be much much nicer.

Can't comment on accuracy, however realistically all apps will at least partially suffer the same problems. The app gets their 7500 list from the USDA, and then supplements those basics with manufacturer provided lists. It's not like they make the lists manually.

Pleased so far but prepared to update my review after further testing.

nutrition facts...

Well, it's only $0.99 badly spent, I should have read the reviews before buying. Will try other apps with nutrition info exactly as it appears on products (serving size) and not in grams which is hard to imagine what it amounts to. Maybe if I write iHealth Ventures perhaps they can update the software to reflect the correct serving size.

I just bought this and am highly disappointed in it. The restaurant section has very little to choose from and if I had known this I definitely wouldn't have purchased it!

Dont buy...read review first...

This app does not include Burger King or McDonalds, Wendys and others like it says....... waiting for an update.... wrote the company and heard nothing finally decided to write a review to warn others. In fact the app includes only 22 food places and only 9 which are in my local area...... I feel like I have been taken. I can not figure out how to get my money back or I would. I wanted an app to watch my fat for health issues this is not the one and I would be scared to buy another after this company did not include what it described............. PLEASE UPDATE... .........

It is incomplete, too incomplete...

I thought I could get along with an app, however imperfect, if it had helpful information.

Well, this is sorely lacking in content. Restaurants are listed with full menus, but there are no accompanying nutrition facts. I click the food, it stays highlighted for awhile, and then just quits (or freeze). At this rate, the version that works will be 4 or 5, not 2.

And it does freeze...

This deserves zero because the app keeps crashing before you can look anything up total waste of money!

Very useful app for Calorie checking - in addition it also provides info for fat, carbs, proteins for thousands of popular foods - recommend to all.
