I am a big fan of DK travel guides in book form and have more than a dozen of them. I left DK's Thailand guide out of the bag on this, my seventh, trip to Thailand and thought I could access the best of its advice through this app. Was I wrong. As the other reviewer mentioned, this is a clumsy copy of some parts of the book with most of the book's content missing. Maps don't work, map information in sites and restaurant reviews is wrong, and it is as close to worthless as possible. The Lonely Planet Bangkok guide is far superior and cheaper, though it too leaves much to be desired. DK makes wonderful printed guides and, apparently, junk apps. Don't buy!

First, the maps are just taken from the book. The map of Old City and Chinatown isn't even the right map: it's the overlay map that shows the location of the map on the map of Bangkok. There are no links from hotels and restaurants or sights to the map. The map grid is given but it's unusable since the grid doesn't show up on the map. DK should do better!
