8 of 20For the most part I could overcome the controls problems. This app is great overall. I hope it eventually gets updated with bigger rhombic dodecahedra, they're so pretty!

Nopony's going to create a Rubik's interface as convenient and easy-to-see as actually holding one. This game still gives you a good idea how lots of alternate puzzles go.
This app is both overwhelming and fascinating. Controls, particularly on more complex objects, take a bit of getting used to.

Update suggestions:

- It would be useful to be able to toggle the mirror image on and off (as you can explore the object in 3D space, the mirror is often more confusing than not).

- It would be great - and more immersive - to be able to add user images to the customizable background selection.

Overall, a really cool app.
It looked very good, until I twisted it. Using one-finger manipulation I almost cannot make a twist I want. It's like it can read my mind, but makes the move in the opposite way. Using two-finger manipulation it's better, but still one out of three moves is not what I want. All the above comments are for small puzzles, like megaminx. For the larger puzzles I cannot even make a single move correctly. I am looking for something like the Gelatin Brain's puzzles for my ipod touch, and this app is not it.
This is to say the least, my favorite app. The one problem that I have is that the super-x and the Dino cube are cut too deeply along the axis. Hopefully we can see an update fixing this. Anyway, this app is pure excellence1
Good controls, great selection, making the timer and mirror optional would be nice. Adding more severe colors, for example, having light blue and a darkish blue doesn't work very well. Very worth the 2 dollars to simply see If you like a puzzle and then you could buy the real version.
This is a good app with a great variety of puzzles, but there is no shape shifting for puzzles that usually shape-shift, which was a letdown. If shape-shifting is added then I will add the last star to my rating. (Also, please add the normal floppy cube (3x3x1 puzzle))
If you're looking for a twisty puzzle simulator this is the one to get. In terms of variety of puzzles, aesthetic interface, and intuitive touch controls this is unbeaten on any platform. Virtually every mass produced puzzle is included, save high order puzzles that are arduous enough to solve in physical form, even worse on a simulator. This program is even capable of simulating shape changing puzzles and bandaged puzzles such as the Pyramorphix and the Bandaged Cube.

Yes, a few puzzles are mislabeled, and a few puzzles do not implement jumbling (shape-changing) moves that are available on mechanical versions, however these gripes would only bother the most nitpicking of puzzle solvers. More likely than not, you will find more puzzles than you ever thought possible, all in one extremely robust and well implemented package.
Don't but this pice of crap tou can't move the pieces and the review at the top was clearly written by the company don't buy this app just buy the puzzles
