Proud of the developer of this app

Amazing. Just the fact, there is an app for darkroom, made me very happy.

For $8 it needs custom temp change, possible switch to farenheit. Huge= push pull times. Please. Without push pull functionality, this is nowhere were it needs to be. Especially for the price. Otherwise. Good idea. It's close.

Best 6 bucks I've spent!

This app is amazing! Everything I need is right here and the timing is spot on from what I've seen so far. Love it! Keep it up!

Now 5 stars

by dotnettrashman · October 1, 2009

My review of the previous version would have rated it 3 stars, primarily over inability to set default agitation settings and the lack of NOTES imported from the Massive Dev Chart itself (important because some films have been reformulated and both were confusingly listed). The new 1.1 version addresses these gripes of mine, adding one star to my review. 1.1 also adds a dilution calculator, absolutely essential to making this a "one stop app". For that, and various UI enhancements: five stars. Anyone doing tank or other light-sealed development will love this app. Thank you developers.

Costly, but great

Considering that this is primarily a chart and a timer app, the price point is a tad high, but I realize that the market may be small, requiring a bit more from each of us. The developer definitely paid attention to the little details that make this app genuinely useful. You can put together go-to lists of your favorite combos, right down to your preferred agitation technique. The program will do the math for you if you need to adjust for temp. There's even funky low-light modes. I almost docked a star for the following: dev, don't be afraid to list any particular film several places in the list. If you search for ilford and don't see delta (it's under delta), you may just give up on the app. Also, please add some easy push/pull mechanism.

best $5.99 I've ever spent

I'd pay double. Well worth every cent, it keeps my workflow straight and saves the confusion when doing big batches with multiple dev times. Easy to personalize to your own method of processing, while using the chart as a base. I never review these things but felt the need to sing it's praises. A truly useful tool.

Man, was I happy when I found this App

from day one, I also used my iPhone as a timer for my Black/White Film Developping sessions. But I did not think that there were more of us. Obviously there are and this fact made the developer of this App programming this extremely useful Combination of a smart split Timer with a huge Film/Recipe Database. Works perfectly and if you are in BW and ilm based photography, you will be using this very often. This sounds like a "bought" praise, it is not!
