I did use this often, and it was great. I still have the ipad version open all day and love it. After the os upgrade, this thing crashes, hangs and just plain dies. Wait for an upgrade, I'm sure one's coming soon. The app really is great, just not at the moment for the phone. Still gets 3 stars because I enjoy the ipad version so much, and it worked great til the os upgrade.
I really wanted to like this, but it's really buggy on 4.0 - to the point where it's not usable. Hopefully, they'll get things ironed out soon...
...this app crashes every time I add an account on my iPhone (running iOS 4) Sadly, not even close to a $10 app.
This is probably the worst app that I have downloaded to my phone. I don't think I would normally be so harsh but when I'm paying $10 for an application then I expect to get some decent value out of it. It's not that the app crashes -- it just doesn't do much. It pretty much just lists your tickets. I can't add milestones and the list of milestones on the app hasn't updated since I installed the application. I have given up using the application. I've had more success just using the Lighthouse web site via Safari which is pretty sad. Either drop the price to $1 or step it up. This is no $10 app.
This app is great! It has almost every feature you need with the exception of being able to attach images (etc) to tickets. In fact, Lighthouse themselves don't even offer this feature via their email interface for creating tickets. Also another cool feature would be the ability to view the email address associated with each ticket. Therefore you could write the emails on the subway; thus giving you the ability to work offline. Update: Found some bugs... Beacon does not update with the latest milestone and user list. I cannot create tickets assigned to other users in my group. I am also unable to choose milestones that were created via the lighthouse website and not the beacon app. These two bugs make the product borderline unusable. I would avoid buying until these bugs are fixed.
I like the app, but it's not worth using if it's not going to work properly. Just noticed that when I respond to a ticket the post doesn't go through unless I leave that ticket and go back into it. Found out the hard way on that one...
Currently the user cannot delegate tasks to others or assign to alternate milestones, when it is possible to do this via the website for Lighthouse. These two features should be fixed ASAP b/c it seriously limits it's usability. Until they are fixed, I think the $$ is steep.
