Report an issueWord Search Free is a hidden word puzzle game with 4 difficulty levels and over 80 different word lists with unique themes to choose from. And best of all it's free.
Word Search Free provides the classic word search puzzle or word finder game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Unlike other word search or word finder games in the store, Word Search Free doesn't have a limited set of pre-canned puzzles. Word Search Free can generate virtually an unlimited number of puzzles, and it generates a unique puzzle every time. And the number of words is not limited to a half dozen like some of the free applications, or even 16 like some paid applications. Word Search Free puts as many words as it can from the category you choose into the puzzle. Many times over 30 words in a 11x12 grid! What a challenge! Word Search Free puzzles are fun, provide many levels of difficulty, and are a great way to pass the time and improve your vocabulary.
To play Word Search Free, find the hidden words in the puzzle and swipe them with your finger. Hidden words can appear in any orientation - up, down, left, right, or diagonally - and in either direction, forward or backward. In a word search puzzle, words can overlap so that a letter can be part of two or more words. If you have trouble finding words, simply tap the "Words" button and reduce the level of difficulty on the puzzle to get more clues. Finally, if you just can't find one or more words, tap the "Solution" button and all the words in the puzzle will be revealed. Once all words are selected, you win!
Also, Word Search Free doesn't interfere with your music so you can listen while you play.
Word Search Free is a fully-featured, but ad-supported version of Word Search Ultimate.
If you like Word Search Free, but prefer it without ads, you can purchase Word Search Ultimate without ads from the App Store.

Things I appreciate about this app- the word list is on another screen which gives a major challenge. I also like the options for viewing the list so I can decide how hard I want to work at solving the puzzle. I love that each time I play in a category, the puzzle is different. I like the variety of categories. I have played through all of them at least once and I still love this app. There are more ads than there used to be, but it is free, after all. With so much going for it, I can put up with that.
Best word search out there
Not bad because of the amount of words and levels but the app crashes almost every game and when I go back to the game all the words I found are all but one or two gone! So frustrating :( Fix it please !!
I really like this app because you have many choices to choose from, but I absolutely hate the ads that pop up!
MARY L. DAVIS wrote in February 2010 that she wouldn't give this fine app more stars because the developer had not listed any Republicans in the presidential category!!!! How darned petty and ridiculous is THAT, for crying out loud???? Are we in a political venue here or are we evaluating an application to help others decide whether to download it or not? Furthermore, little Ms Davis needs to go back to grade school, as almost all of the listed presidents were either Federalists or Republicans. Sheesh, now I've seen it all!!! BTW, I am giving this game FIVE stars because the developer earned them, not by sharing my political opinions, but because the app is well designed, has oodles of categories, and I like having the words on a second page to give more of a challenge to try to find all of the words without "peeking" at the list. I also really like the way the solutions are displayed, and I also really, REALLY like the way the word is displayed at the top of the screen as you move the cursor over the letters because so often my hand gets in the way and I can't see if I highlighted all the letters I intended. Another BTW.....I am a red letter Christian (the words of Jesus in the Bible) who votes for the PERSON, not the political party.
I like the words not being on the screen! It gives more room for the word puzzle. I enjoy this one over the other crossword puzzles I have.
It's kinda weird and stupid
