Information about Subscriptions: Pocket Premium subscriptions are at a monthly rate of $4.99 or an annual rate of $44.99. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. For each renewal, your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same monthly or annual rate. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal can be turned off by visiting iTunes Account Settings.
To end a subscription, disable auto-renewal and allow the current period to end. It will not be possible to immediately cancel a subscription. Refunds are not available for unused portions of a subscription.

I can save articles but the app doesn’t always open so I can’t view them. Many of my saved articles are recipes I want to make but I can’t. Restarting my iPhone 11 does not fix this issue. I’m running ios 17.7.2 because many of the “features” in ios 18 are not what I want and are memory hogs.
i used to love pocket a lot - it replaced instapaper for me and i would rave about it. recently, probably in the last 6 months, this app has gone downhill. it’s super buggy, slow, and honestly is no longer a joy to use. if i am reading an article and go to another window, when i go back to my pocket window, it shouldn’t take an extended period of time to re open the article, and it most certainly shouldn’t take me back to my list of saved articles and not save my spot in the article. so many of my saves don’t save the titles of articles anymore, they save a freaking URL. clicking on a save button in the recommended articles even within the app homepage sometimes takes 10-20 seconds, which doesn’t sound that crazy but it used to be instantaneous. PLEASE make this app better or at least as good as it used to be because i really don’t enjoy using it anymore. i want to still love this app but i’m starting to not.
Pocket used to be my favorite app- I recommended it to EVERYONE. But lately it seems to freeze up after i’ve only gotten to open 2-3 of the links saved on there. Please fix this!! I really love this app!!
App frequently freezes and crashes, making it unusable, even when I try multiple times over hours or days. Edit: Years later, they finally fixed the freezing and crashing issues. Rating changed from 2 stars to 3 stars.
Got a new iPad - tried installing the app (several times now). Stuck in an endless loop of being asked to login, going through the verification process (successfully), only to be asked to login again and again and again endlessly. Was able to log in to the website and mobile app no problem. Fix?
As an avid reader and frequent flyer I loved using Pocket over the years as my read it later. The news it’s shutting down is sad, but the need is still there and Crate is the best alternative. Plus you can port all your Pocket content over and it’s all free in the Crate app.
This was my favorite app for many years, and the only subscription I valued keeping. But then Mozilla bought it, started removing features, not maintaining it, and today announced it was shutting it down. This is what happens when a company can’t figure out how to monetize something endlessly. Loyalty means nothing, and buy-outs are usually just to shelve a good product to keep it from competing with their own. Ruined a great app.
