8 of 25This is the only real roguelike on the app store. That said, the new update has crazily cranked up the number of aquators you encounter. After as you reach floor 8, it's aquators for days. Multiple aquators on every floor. The end result is that, unless you're lucky enough to find an elfin armor or a protect armor scroll, the only armor worth holding on to is leather, because anything else is guaranteed to be almost instantly destroyed.
Love it and have been playing it for several years. I like the upgrade, but just hit the most annoying bug from the old version - a level without stairs. No choice but to restart.
Perfect for killing a few minutes or a few thousand hours! This is one of the first iOS games I purchased many years ago and is still the only one that I play regularly. No ads, no in-app purchases, just pure essence of Rogue.
Thank you for the upgrade. This is one of a two games that has stayed on my phone. the upgrade is very nice. Thanks again.
I first played this game in the early eighties. It’s plays better with all of the TLC this version has. The Amulet of Yendor is still on level 26, just like the old days. This is a steal foe $2.99. I do very few reviews, just five stars and one stars. Enjoy the game!
Game crashes after clicking new game. Settings, leaderboard, etc all work. I’d like a refund.
I spent far too much time playing Rogue in college and graduate school, and was thrilled to find this iPhone version. Although this version replaces the glowing green ASCII-character “art” with modern graphics, it staunchly maintains the character of the original game. End-of-the-Boom Boomers like me should welcome this blast from the past, as will presumably younger fans of _Ready Player One_. Well worth the $3, and I hope the developer is encouraged to continue his work.
I love rogue likes and just purchase this game. Only to find that it is not optimized for iPads. The resolution is set up for phones and looks terrible, and plays terrible in my opinion on an iPad
