8 of 12Easiest to use of all tip applications I have used. Love that you can save history and edit history.
It is a nice looking app and it has everything I need in a tip calculator. Other apps were missing the tax option or are ugly.
I use it, and I love it. Packed with features; the user interface looks and performs great.
Quick and easy to use for both pre-tax and post-tax tipping. Good design makes it fast and easy to enter numbers. Additional features help with record keeping.
This is a very nice app. It seems they have added some features since the last person reviewed. It now saves both the sales tax & tip ammount as well as a feature that allows you to turn off sound effects. It's easy to use, and visually appealing. I also love the feature that allows you to save the transaction, if you keep a budget this is very handy. I do have one suggestion though... Once I have saved my transaction it is listed, but I can't seem to edit it, only allows me to see or delete. Not a big deal, but if I had saved prematurely or totals had changed, I'd have to make a new one. The ability to edit a saved transaction would be a great addition, making this pretty much perfect! All in all, great app! Great job on this one
This app shows promise with some unique features, but it seems more geared to keeping track of receips and dividing up a check than calculating tips. Wish it had default tip percentages and ability to round total plus tip up or down to closest dollar.
Would be 5s if It calculated tax for you when you enter a pretax amount.
This tip calculator has a very attractive graphical interface. The new version (1.3) remembers your tax rate and tipping percentage as defaults, so when you open it, all you need to do is enter the total for your bill on the built-in keyboard, and the tip and total fall out automatically. New to the latest version is the ability to clear the application and begin the calculation over by shaking the device, one of the last things on my wish list. The app will let you split the bill evenly among a number of fellow diners if you like. This is a very convenient and unfussy way to make such an application - there aren't many choices in the App Store with such a straightforward approach. And it will let you save a record of any transaction you wish for future reference, the only tip calculator that does that, at least that I have seen. I was critical of its inability to retain tax rate and tip percentage in version 1.0, but with the new revisions, it moves up substantially in my estimation - I now recommend that you give a spin. Perhaps the only thing to continue to hope for is that the application could use a feature to allow you to round the tip or bill up or down to the nearest dollar.
