Divine Office - Audio Prayer - Liturgy of the Hours of the Roman Catholic Church

Works great with ordinary readings. Occasional problems on Feast days, if you are reading in a group.

I paid over $20 for this app. Where is it? Why can I no longer download it? I have been off my iPad for years and have now returned to Apple products. This is now undownloadable. I want my download or I want my money back.

Excellent app, a great asset in practicing the faith throughout the day. The audio is especially good.

Just need to make time to pray more with fellow Catholics around the world!

I've been doing the Divine office for a while now. Anything from four volumes that book version, to online versions… so far, this is the best I've found. I know they're always knew her, bigger, better… And but I've been very happy, and more importantly, very prayerful with this version.

Having the LOTH in this electronic form makes it so easy to follow and stay on track with prayer..<br/>A good upgrade would be if they aloes you to only download the hours you intend to do instead of all hours. Having more days into the future would be good too for times your away from the internet for 2 weeks.<br/>Great App ..get it

I don't know why the developers decided to change the format from being spoken to sung. The girl who sings (Melinda Kirigen Voss) has more of a musical theater/Broadway sound which is very distracting with its wide vibrato and slides. The guy isn't much better either - they can barely sing in tune together! I would actually be okay with their voices if it were not also for the fact that they use such cheesy newly composed psalm tones. The church has such a treasury of psalm tones from its days of Gregorian chant, why not use those? Or just make the psalm tones simpler and less distracting!<br/><br/>Although some may prefer her vocal/piano music for meditative purposes, I dread when the developers decide to use it for any given hour. I feel like I'm listening to a cabaret singer or a female solo singer/songwriter in a smoky jazz club! This is not the type of music I want to prepare me to pray the hours! And Valerie Ann Knies' music feels like it's being sung for children!<br/><br/>To the developers: please continue using recordings of established choral singers and ensembles for your opening and closing hymns. I'm actually a musician myself preparing to play and sing at Sunday Mass and I have to use all that is in me to get that horribly cheesy music out of my head!!!<br/><br/>Finally: if you can't find great classically trained CHORAL singers then don't use singers at all! Rather, have someone simply say the psalms without singing them! Just be consistent and don't have singers one day and orators the next! It throws people off and not to mention it ruins the plans of those who thought the recording would be shorter!

Will you be putting this app on the Apple watch? I just bought the sports edition and was disappointed not to see Divine Office app available on it, hopefully soon? Love your app
