great fun

This is an entertaining, word strategy game. Someone recommended it and voiced that they were addicted to the game. I tried it out and agreed. Fun, challenging and definitely addicting. I would recommend it. I think this is one of the better word games because it is fast or slow, that is up to you.

Used to be great

Locked up under iOS 8.1.2 on my iPhone 5. Deleted and reinstalled the program and it was frozen as soon as it opened. Please fix. I used to love playing this game.

Formerly one of my favorite word games - Please Fix!

Update 2015: sadly, this game does not appear to work any more.
-----------
Update review 2014: Removed a star😞 Still enjoy this game, but wish they would update it!
-----------------
WordPop! had been a favorite on my Treo & I am happy to see it finally on the iPhone - even better than before. It has similarities to Word Jam, Wurdle & WordsWorth (which are all fun games), but I like having one of these games that is not timed. If you do these things for a little relaxing diversion every now & then, it's pleasant to have something that does not add more stress :-)

Like Bejeweled with a brain...

We all know Bejeweled is addicting, right? Match similar shapes/colors, they disappear and you get points.

Well, WordPop! is like Bejeweled, only you need to match letters into words to make them disappear and get points. So, you need to think. This game is totally addicting -- and helps you build a better vocabulary along the way.

Literally everybody I know who has played this game LOVES it.

Lots of replay vale

I have played this game for years. I loved it on my Palm Trio, and the iPhone translation is just as addicting. If you enjoy word games, you will find yourself coming back to this again and again.

Just crashes

It won't even fully begin a game, just crashes on easy, med., and hard level. Please fix.

Excellent game .... many, many hours of entertainment

Thoughts added to my earlier comments below: This game has been around for many years. I think it's due for some refresh. An ability to post comments, chat, etc. would be a great start. What about some type of head-to-head version of the game? WWF is a big hit, and it's the neighborly competitiveness that creates a fun experience.

----------

WordPop is a very entertaining game that people will enjoy regardless of their vocabulary and skill level. It has three levels, so you can move up to the next level when you feel comfortable. The game is not timed (so it's not a stressful game to play), and you can play a few rounds any time and come back later to continue a game. If you create a high-scoring word or achieve a high-scoring game, your score can be seen at the Smart Box website as well as in the highs score list that you can access from within the app. If you're looking for something that's a lot of fun and that will give your brain a nice workout, check this one out. An amazing value for 99 cents. --- Mark T (W Htfd)

I noticed Judy's comment, and the same thing happened to me. I made a 638 point word Saturday night (would be tied for 8th highest all-time) and for some reason it just didn't record on the all-time table. Strangely, it did show up on the table of highest-scoring words for that date, but is totally missing on the tables for the month or all-time. kind of a discouraging bug. I've brought it to their attention.
