8 of 14Great idea! I find myself using this application all the time to keep track of my time. I use it both at work (to keep appointments) and when I exercise. It has been surprisingly useful to have a voice that tells me the 'time to" or "time remaining" rather than just an alarm going off. I have not had any problems with the quality of the voice - it works well both in my headphones and through the internal speakers.
Love all the features of the clock. But the four star rating is because the voiced are to loud and cracky. I had to lower my volume to understand the voice but even at a lower volume setting the voices are still crack. Pleas fix this! Thank you!
Yes, the voice is a little distorted, yet very understandable. And, it would be nice if it kept announcing the times when the app was not on top. However, it works great for my needs. I like to downhill ski. I have my tunes going and then set the clock to give me time updates every 30 minutes (or 10 minutes or 5 minutes whatever). I never have to check my watch or undo my coat to look at my iPod (pretty cool). I just keep skiing. If I have an appointment, the "intellegent" reminder frequency is less obtrusive at the start and begins to remind me more often as my appointment time comes. I used this to tell me it was time to meet the rest of the group at the lodge for lunch. Without having to get to my iPod, or bundled up wristwatch, I was aware of the time and could "adjust my course" to maximize runs and not be late.
This app works simply & clearly to let me know how much time has passed or is left before the next thing. And it works with all my other apps, especially music, when I’m hiking. Use it every day. There is nothing else that is as helpful.
I think this really is a great app. The other night I had to prepare a dinner to be ready at 7 p.m. By having this app running I could hear exactly how much time I had left while I was cooking. I also use to tell me how much time I have used for riding the bike and how much time I have left before appointments. I recommend it to anyone with a tight schedule.
Very helpful app. With a talking clock, timer, and iPhone calendar 24-hour sync button, it goes beyond the basic alarm. The announcement choices are numerous and some of them are fun and amusing. The female voice is not the best quality but it works. The male voice sounds more human but is also slightly distorted.
App speaks long sentence in an ugly voice every 15 minutes. Optionally, we should be able to hear just the time, having the option of a simple ding for shorter intervals, combined with spoken time (not sentence) at set longer intervals. If you’ve been around this long, you should try to make a better product. How has no one realized how annoying it would be to hear this horrid voice speak a full sentence every 15 minutes. I had to delete it, it’s useless if it’s just going to sound this bad.
I love the idea of a voice alarm so I don't have to keep pulling my phone out at work to check the time. However, it's not supporting multitasking on iPhone 4 which is very inconvenient since I listen to music while I work. Impliment multitask and you'll have five stars from me.
