Accuweather was always a reliable source of government warnings. Whenever I heard their tone I got right on it and checked the notification<br/><br/> Recently they’ve begun notifying me of natural disasters thousands of miles away using their distinctive warning tone. These notifications come several times a day. As a result, I have stopped checking the notifications and I’m trying to find a better source for government warnings

I would like notifications of severe weather in my area. I do NOT want horrible notifications popping up on my phone about children dying in hot cars, etc. literally makes my stomach turn. Not what I signed up for.

This app was great until today. Now when trying to look at the current temperature, all I see is a giant ad, which wasn’t there yesterday

First you lock critical warnings behind a pay wall unless it’s right on top of you. Now I constantly get notifications of “child dies in car” or “child struck by lightning”. I just got one that says “child looses hand in alligator attack”. What the hell does that have to do with weather and even for the ones that can pass as weather events why the hell are you sending notifications about people dying all the time? Thank god there’s other apps for weather out there because this one has become pathetic. Now I can delete this asinine excuse of a weather utility.

I really like this app because it tells me when lightning or anything else comes to my country and it gives me notifications on my iPad and I check it every day and it is the best whether app I’ve ever had.
