A perfect marriage of puzzle gameplay and strategy. You're not just swapping gems to make a match - now, it maters which ones you swap, and in what order to win the battles. Add that to a simple to learn and fun strategy element, a stable platform, and infinite replay ability, and you have a game that will keep you coming back for more. A definite must buy for strategy OR puzzle fans!
Samurai Puzzle Battle features some pretty fun puzzle games, but what I really enjoy about it is the Campaign Mode. In the Campaign Mode you create units from your castle and recruit heroes which you use in your quest to unify Japan. When units encounter one another you battle with a puzzle game. Different matches represent everything from recovery of strength and mana to magical and physical attacks. You can also recover life and build up your ki meter for a special attack. Characters have their own strengths, weaknesses, and even sometimes immunities. Heroes can be recruited to aid in your quest (or by your enemy to rampage through your land). I originally worried about the learning curve but it turns out you can start to overcome it by choosing an easy ruler (you get to pick) and through some determination (a willingness to experiment with the different heroes and what it takes to fight them). Pay close attention to the units' strengths and weaknesses as they will be key to your victory. This game has great potential and I have enjoyed it immensely. A few requests: Please continue improving upon and expanding this game! How on earth did the computer beat a dragon with three Zeppelins? Selection of territories and gems/pieces sometimes isn't very responsive to the touch screen. Please honor the mute setting of the iPhone.
I keep looking for a match three game like treasures of montazuma , can't get enough play it daily, would pay $5 for update, so I thought I would give this one a try bad mistake waste of money most complicated game I ever played terrible do not waste your money!!!
One of the best games out there. a must have. However, it could have more units available. There is a good variety (my favorite is the ghost) but there should be others like ninjas, mages, angels, and serpents. There should also be more shoguns to choose from. But, overall, one of THE best apps available. If you can't decide to get it or not, just GET IT! You won't be sorry you did.
This hands down is the best app out there. I loved the demo and wouldve paid five for the full version. Great!
Quick to learn and long to master. This game is fantastic! For those looking for a game they can spend a few minutes with or hours at a time with, look no further then Samurai Puzzle Battle. I played this game in multiple sittings for hours at a time and will continue to do so for a very long time. An instant classic! When I looked at the screen shots, I thought it might be similar to bejeweled which did not interest me in the least, but the title caught my eye enough to download the lite version. After playing that for 3 straight hours I decided it was time to purchase the game. Highly recommend! Well worth your time and money.
This game has a TON of potential. Right now, it's way to easy. Also, the campaign mode gets a little tedious. With a few strong updates, this could easily be a 5 star game. As for right now, it's still better than most game apps out there, but not quite yet top tier.
