I should have checked with the developer before writing my one star review. I have since done so and received an immediate response indicating he has found the problem and is in the process of fixing it. It has always been a great app. Based on that it deserves 5 stars.

Simple to use, good visual app for student and new pilots.
When raising the gust factor, only the crosswind number changes. Both headwind and crosswind numbers should increase. The industry rule of thumb is to include 1/2 of gust factor in calculation. (Gust factor=gust-wind) 10kts gusting to 20kts = gust factor of 10kts. So calculate crosswind for 15kts.
