....and not as easy as it looks, regardless of what other reviewers tell you about the "ease" of winning.
This is a nice game, but one should note that on a board with an even number of squares, the second player can always win (or draw) by placing the pieces symmetrically with respect to the center from the first player's pieces. For example if the first player's move is in the top left corner, the second player can move in the bottom right corner and so on. By symmetry, the second player will never complete a square before the first player. On a 5x5 (or 7x7 etc.) board, the center of the board is a square which changes things a bit, but one can still use symmetry to their advantage. The program also does not seem to handle well the event when the game ends in a draw.
Uniquely entertaining & most likely to be a popular app. A new favorite for me, simply because I've played ten games and somehow I've not been able to win a game yet. It seems easy but like me you'll be startled...
