Efficiency impediment
The New Look makes it harder to see the full file or folder name. Larger font and icons plus dead space on right leaves no room for the full name. I don’t care if it matches iOS 26, keep the app useful for the user. I’ve used the iPhone Box app from when it was first offered. I love Box, but the app is getting more user unfriendly each update chasing glamor instead of usability. (iPhone 16 Pro) If you need to update, finally add a way to clear the “Recents”. I known what I’ve looked at….
Major fixes needed. Using the camera that is built in to the app is a nightmare. It lags SO much, takes 5 minutes to take 1 picture and that’s if you’re lucky enough for it to even do that. Now I have resorted to taking photos with my phone and upload them through the app. I don’t like doing this because my camera is full of work pictures, instead of instantly uploading to the file. It used to be better, taking pictures through the app but know it is impossible. It also takes forever to upload pictures to the app. Always issues loading files, currently I can’t open any. App is fully updated and it still doesn’t work correctly. Making box notes are annoying now because to make a checklist you have to click all these different buttons and delete and redo the list. The last version was better for this. I wish they would change it back Updating review on 6/5/26 Newest version of the app is terrible. You can’t see pictures in a folder fully unless you click on them. Makes my job 10x harder not being able to glance at photos in a thumbnail. Every update seems like it just gets worse.
Love the app I have been using it for a year and it’s the best cloud storage app I have ever used plus it has tons of other features that make life easy for me… my only complaint is that box is not more transparent about the updates… each time box updates it essentially the says the same thing… bug fixes. There are some things that I have come to work around but it would amazing see that they had addressed some of the things that haven’t been working for me or my team so I can communicate it as opposed to asking clients if it’s fixed or not. But sometimes we look up and the things are magically working. For example when I send clients links to videos they have not been able to download the videos… they have to screen record. I just would like to know what you fixed.. great app… I think by communicating that you are addressing specific issues the app becomes even better. Literally my only issue!!!
What does a storage provider need ai for besides datamining?
Without integration with Files, and the ability to edit files on Box, this app is basically useless.
If only the iOS app was not ridiculously slow, Box would be the absolute best. Please fix this
