Since a couple of months I have this issue, is it a bug? Thanks for the support

Fantastic response - the best remote control app I've used

by flurffmeister · May 2, 2019

The team has done the best they could, I feel, in handling what could've been a disaster for the app. There's a new Scrn on the horizon, and it's looking like it will be better than iTeleport ever was, when it works out all the kinks. In the meantime, the gift of the iTeleport we know and love is so very generous, considering the time and effort this kind of thing takes.

A small fix for the menu bar being hidden by the notch would be appreciated, but I can also appreciate needing to prioritize development time on what's actually got a chance to pay the bills!

To those dissatisfied with the new business model (the new app that caused the ruckus, now a separate app dubbed Scrn): The $20-30 we paid them umpteen years ago isn't enough to keep them going, as much as we wish it would be. There just aren't enough new users to make that approach sustainable for the ongoing maintenance effort. I will be following Scrn's career with great interest, and I hope you will, too. We gotta support the people that make these kinds of useful tools SOMEHOW. If you're an early adopter, over a period of a decade, how much value has that app provided to you? Isn't it worth more than that old one time payment?

Your NEW app was great!!

by Smitty195 · May 3, 2019

I’m bummed to see us taking a step backwards and using the old one. That new one was crystal clear, no delay with interacting with my computer screen, and it was all around awesome!! Well, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. I’ll still be with you. But I really loved the new one. How could people hate it? Ugh. So hard to please everyone. Thank you for trying. I’m waiting for the re-release of it again. :) Keep up the great work. It’s awesome!

Yay - my settings are back! Thanks for listening

Wow, a developer that did their customers a solid. Thanks for reverting to the previous version.

Because of that, I’m willing to give the new app a try.

Please make the new app available again

by Mitchell in SF · May 2, 2019

First of all, I loved the new version - much better than the old. That said, I agree with the critics who suggested putting the new version up as a new app and giving users the choice between new and old. My 5 stars is for the new version. I’d give one star to the old.

The original app is back!!!

by ofnj · May 3, 2019

Updated on 5/3/2019:
Good decision to revert to the original app! Please build an Android version too, so I can use your app on all mobile platforms.
Old review:
I've been using this app for about 5 years already and it works flawlessly on Wifi and 3G. Connects to all platforms that I throw at it, can use SSH tunnel, can save passwords, etc. Works great on iPhone and iPad. I tried other remote connection apps but keep coming back to iTeleport. It connects to all recent versions of Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. The dev team did a great job. If someone experiences issues using this app I guess, they could also be related to the environment, network, or remote OS permissions.

What...!?

by cyb3rB0B · May 3, 2019

You finally release an app that looks great on any device, and then you revert back to the same crap that’s been around for the past 5 years!?

Do you even have a QA department??

Why not just have two apps, I mean you already created to new one!?

👎👎👎

Consistently useful application

by Worldjoe · May 3, 2019

This app is so perfect it just works.
I congratulate you on trying something new. Your app is the only app I have consistently used on various iPhones over many many years.
