I'd purchased "Life Timer" before getting this app and found that it didn't have the features that I needed. I'm perfectly satisfied with TymeLynz tho. I love that you can define different groups for your timers, customize the countdown display and have your reminders, retained, expire or repeat. Well worth the $3 for the features and customization.

Good concept. A bit buggy still.

I had a similar program on Palm and I enjoy the functions. However, this program still needs some fixing, and some sort of guide to use would help. It took me some time to figure out that to get an event set in the past, you have to set it to expire at 100 years or so or it will not stay. And sometimes the "save" button will simply disappear when trying to edit. And sometimes when trying to get the past event to stay put (by setting it to expire at 100 years), the setting gets stuck on "weeks" and won't change to "years". And then, on top of it all, after working hard to get a list of items set properly, some will stay for awhile and then suddenly disappear. I hope we can get a bug fix soon! Great concept.

Events Limited to Two?

I was able to add only 2 events and then the dial stopped appearing on edit.

Things just disappear!

by Malamis · July 24, 2008

Love the idea of this... but it is very difficult to enter events. Many of the times they just disappear... then you re-enter them... and it happens again and again. Needs fixed before it's worth paying for. Hope the developer fixes all the bugs. If that happens, it would be worth buying. Before buying, keep an eye on the comment section. I will post an update when items are fixed.

Tired of the Whining

I'm tired of the idiots who keep harping on what programs cost. If you don't want to purchase it then don't. Most of us are smart enough to know whether we can afford an app or think it's worth it.As a Project Manager in construction this app is invaluable to help me meet deadlines. So many times when a deadline is months away it easily sneaks up on you and you have to fight to catch up. I think this application is great and am going to offer my suggestions to improve it as they come to me.

Cool

Perfect Program For Me

by Echo of the Event Horizon · September 14, 2010

{UPDATE: I've had 1 recurring problem since my 1st OS update or so; that being the app quits to the iPhone OS usually once after opening it, sometimes twice before "stabilizing" & running fine from that point on. I wish this single issue could finally be fixed}

I've NEVER experienced a single problem with it & it's method of functioning (with the many optional ways to set up how it works for you) is perfect for me!

I take a medication that requires different doses over a repeating pattern of a few days. This program's adjustability made it simple so I'm able to open & run it every couple of weeks or so (whenever my pre-filled med dispenser is empty & Tyme automatically deleates the expired dates then displays the proper doses starting with today's dose and continuing through to the end of the current cycle.

It's the only program that allowed that level of complex scheduling without insane amounts of "hoop-jumping" to accomplish, if possible at all!

I can't imagine doing without it.
