This app is fine for articles and news, but if you want to comment on anything good luck, I’m logged into my account and every time I try to comment it asks me to log in again.
I hate having to write this but it must be done. I love IGN. Followed them for a decade and some change religiously, daily, signed up for the account, you name it. I’ve been using the app as my main interaction with IGN but today is the day I am deleting it. The app is not user friendly. The ads are obnoxiously long, and recurring and unskippable. Watching a 30 second video on IGN? 45 second ad. Automatically moves to a new video followed by another lengthy ad. Doesn’t matter how long the video is - you’re getting an ad. And the icing on the cake is you can no longer stop, play, fast forward or rewind a video. Presumably to do with ads? What’s the point. 0 stars 4 u IGN for this abomination.
Not Good Anymore
They will never fix this. You will have ads permanently even if you pay to remove them like I did then the app will be malfunctioned and if you try to scroll, it’s gonna skip multiple pages and revert you back to the top because of you paid to remove the ads don’t give them any of your money you’ve been warned. I have suffered many years and there is no fix. I’ve contacted their Support and they said it sucks for you. After troubleshooting, they can find an answer years I passed nothing has ever been fixed. Do not pay you’ve been warned
This app is awful and unfortunately is not designed to navigate games easily. It's just pushing content at you.
Why is it that when IGN comes out with an app update the login screen still is broken? Plus when I try to sign in with my credentials I am told at the login screen that everything is incorrect? However I know that it is not. I have written about accessibility issues before and IGN has not addressed the problem or problems within this app which is very disconcerting to me and makes me feel like I’m not a valid user. I should just stick to the IGN podcasts that I hear and get my news and entertainment that way since that seems to be the fastest way to get things about news and video games and other technology.
Man oh man… I love IGN. I love the content. I love the hosts of all the shows and podcasts especially Beyond & NVC. Love the reviews, on sale sections, news, events. But boy is this app bad and keeps getting worse. It crashes all the time. I have to log in almost every day. The videos don’t play or play and then crash… 5 stars for IGN content/creators and 0 for the app
