Promise not kept

20 years ago was promised free access to app; now limited with new restricted queries and support not interested in keeping promise

Unable to Transfer App to New Phone

by Jay_Tee1 · June 4, 2026

There is no option to restore purchase within the app. After paying $180 for plus, you’d think you can transfer your app to your new phone seamlessly. Canceling and going with Up to Date

No basic version anymore

by BobCmt · May 29, 2026

After using it for years (decades?) Epocrates had become useless. Now demands money for what were free functions. Previously, only wanted money to access premium features. No notice of this. Looking for another app.

Used to be great

End of an era

Doesn’t Work

by *L0619* · June 15, 2026

I have been able to open app at all with the two previous updates. It says “Please do not leave this screen. This may take moment.” However, it never loads. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling. Turning on and off my phone. I have most recent os. Super disappointing. I’ve been using this app for 12+ years. It used to be awesome but now it’s awful. You’d think they’d care about customer feedback. Nearly every review for over 6 months has been negative.

What’s going on with epocrates ???

by not@thebee · June 18, 2026

Used to be very good . Now you’re stealing data and planting cookies!!!! Are you trying to steal our banking info ? Or the phone numbers of our kids ? Now your forcing us to move up to the latest iOS releases. More data collection? I thought that your app was the best medicine app I have turned many of my fellow medical professionals onto your app . I have even used the premium version . But now I get marginally interesting quizzes, and data stealing . SAID AND PATHETIC. I hate lazy and stupid people doing jobs that are important. So the outcome is substandard. What’s next ? An anemic tie in to “AI” (chatgpt) that is not quite functional but takes multiple gigabytes or memory and processor allocation. You must have hired some mid management stooge who convinced upper management that dressing up a pig will make it look like a fashion model . There are so many things that could be done to improve the quality and effectiveness of the app .

What happened!
